With the generosity of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, a number of competitions are held accompanying the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Award for Agricultural Excellence to support the objectives of the award and motivate and encourage more farmers and wealth breeders. Animals are encouraged to compete positively to improve the agricultural sector, both plant and animal. The accompanying competitions are held at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba and provide the opportunity for breeders, community members, small producers and productive families to compete and participate in competitions and events that support efforts to achieve agricultural sustainability and food security by highlighting the role of farmers and livestock breeders in addition to encouraging other segments of society to adopt best practices.

The related competitions include 25 competitions divided into several categories, including agricultural, livestock, food, honey, and awareness and promotion in the agricultural field.;
